I’m Heather. And it is so good to meet you!
I am a mountain girl through and through. My heart will always flutter when I see the Rockies. I grew up hiking, camping, exploring and living in little mountain towns…many little mountain towns. In fact, by the time I was 18 years old, I had moved 38 times! So instead of having a home town…I have home mountains.
Speaking of mountains, I’m married to a man who looks like a mountain man. Or lumberjack. Or a drummer in a metal band. Which makes sense, because he was. A drummer in a metal band that is, not a lumberjack. His beard is epic, his sense of humor is unmatched and his love keeps me going. I knew it was true love when he started sharing his food with me.
We have made 4 precious babies. Our 2 daughters are seriously the coolest people I’ve ever met. I never knew how much love the human heart could hold until they were each born. Both times, my heart just expanded and even more love rushed in. They make us laugh to the point of tears and are constantly teaching us new things about ourselves. Yep, they’re the coolest.
Two of those babies were lost in miscarriages at 13 weeks and 5 weeks. They dwell in the presence of my King where one day we will all be reunited. Oh, that day. Their lives were far too brief. But it was through lives of my heaven babies that the Lord showed me His faithfulness is ways that I never would have otherwise known. It was in those dark nights of mourning that His presence was strongest. And it has changed me. All I am belongs to Him.
I am messy and usually late. Which drives my organized and prompt husband crazy. I am a constant work in progress, to say the least. And I am so thankful for a God who cares more about my heart than how good I am. He doesn’t ask for perfection, just willingness.
You are welcome here. Always. No matter where your life is or what your circumstances look like. My desire is for this place to be a place of authenticity, acceptance, love and grace. I want it to be a safe haven and breath of fresh air for your heart!
So tell me about yourself! I would love to connect with you!
Grace and love,
