7 Prayers of a Joyfully Exhausted Momma: Day 3 – Future Spouses

Day 3 – Future Spouses

When you’re in the parenting stage of diapers, or potty training, or the first days of school, it’s crazy to think about future days of dating, relationships and weddings. But one day, our little people will become big people, and they’ll start looking at others with googly-eyes. We don’t have to wait until then to start praying for our kids’ future husbands and wives—we can start praying right now. And when the time finally arrives, we can look back and remember how we’ve prayed for their relationships and spouses over the years.

Jesus,

You hold our kids’ entire lives, futures and relationships in Your hands. You see every detail of every friendship, every heartbreak, every relationship. You know who their future spouses are and You see every detail in their lives also. Father, I pray for protection over our kids’ future spouses—guard over their hearts and minds. As they grow, may their love for You grow as well. May they value purity, honesty and kindness. May they be light in the darkness. I pray for their parents. As they are also in the thick of raising little ones, I ask that You give them wisdom and energy. That they will instill Your truths in the hearts of their children…who will one day become a part of our family.

so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands. Psalm 78:6-7
